Bremen / Germany,
15th December 2022 – The e-cargo bike RYTLE MovR3 was honoured as winner at the German Design Award. This is the eleventh year that the German Design Council has awarded prizes to products and projects that are trend-setting in the design landscape worldwide. The RYTLE MovR3 is considered the most modern electrified cargo bike of the RYTLE GmbH for sustainable transport processes on the last mile. It does have full suspension as well as high-quality, safety-relevant and functional components such as the electric transport fork in the loading bay. In addition, the RYTLE MovR3 was able to convince with its innovative design.
The Specialist for electrified cargo bikes RYTLE launched the MovR3 in Q3 2022. The e-pedelec für heavy loads was successful in the German Design Award 2023 in the category ‘Excellent Product Design – Bicycles and E-Bikes’. The German Design Council, initiated by the German Bundestag in form of a foundation, awarded the modern e-cargo bike as a winner. The international and interdisciplinary jury of experts used criteria such as technical quality and function, degree of innovation, ergonomics, aesthetics, safety and last but not least sustainability in their evaluation. The aim of the German Design Award is to set international standards for the most innovative design developments and competitiveness on the global market.
‘This award is a valuable recognition for our still young company. It underlines that our in-house development in the RYTLE Production GmbH in Germany – Zerbst – has further developed the MovR3 to a design result that is considered to be trend-setting. It is based on the know-how and the expertise gained over the years and strongly meets the needs of our customers,’ says Riza Akgün, CEO of the RYTLE GmbH, delightedly.
The RYTLE MovR3 can carry up to 370 kg. Most of it can
be stored in the exchangeable RYTLE transport box in the rear. It can be pushed into the loading bay on smooth-running castors and lifted via an electrically operated transport fork and secured for the ride. Thanks to the powerful electric support, the RYTLE MovR3 can drive up to 25 km/h fast. Classified as an e-pedelec 25, the MovR3 rides past any traffic jams on cycle paths and forms a sustainable alternative for inner-city goods transport.
Additional indicators integrated into the mirror, a high-quality LED lighting system and reliable disc brakes take safety into account. Motorbike components increase the reliability. An organically shaped weather protection cladding made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GRP)
offers protection in rough conditions. Depending on local conditions, riders
are free to choose the more secure entry and exit side on the right or left.
The full suspension provides a smoother and more controlled ride.
The RYTLE MovR3 thus
stands for a successful pairing of innovative functional components with
attractive design. It is an essential building block in the RYTLE integrated concept solution. It demonstrates future-oriented, efficient and sustainable transport solutions on the first and last mile. The fact that one of our e-cargo bikes was awarded with the German Design Award is both a confirmation and an incentive for us,’ emphasises Thomas Klotz, Head of Construction & Site Management at RYTLE Production GmbH.
